Monday: I didn't mention this before but I managed to hurt my arm a bit while snowboarding saturday, anyway while hanging on by one arm I hurt my arm again climbing... ugh! And it didn't help when Monica challenged me to a pretty much all arm rock climb which I failed, over and over and over again; only my male ego(and foolishness) kept me trying over and over again and failing.... Failure comes hard to me I guess, but I sure learned about it today!!!

Tuesday I found out a little late about making food for a potluck. Jay and I were assigned potato's/yam's, so I went to the store tried to find ready made Yams and Mashed potatoes but I couldn't find any... I did however find this 'Stove Top' Instant Potatoes, and Can'o'Yams. So I through it all into the pan, but the pan overflowed all over the top of the stove, so I figured I should probably not pour anymore into the pan, and I split the recipe into two pans. Meanwhile I'm taking individual can'o'yams and microwaving them for 4 minutes each and putting them into a pot. In order to save time I put the stove on high.... guess what; putting the stove on high didn't speed up the process of cooking the mash potatoes.. it did however speed up the process of attaching the mashed potatoes to the bottom of the can with this burnt smell. Also the Can'O'Yams decided to Yam up the microwave, so I have to clean that out. The potluck worked out pretty well and Debbie gave me a pie too! WOW! How cool is that, I LOVE pumkin pie! Worked legs out at the gym.
Wednesday, short workout, only did 4 miles... and I felt off that day.
Thursday, well I WAS going to go to the gym, but my schedule got tweaked a little bit, and I decided not to go to the gym today
went over to the Rock Dump and I climbed with Torsten. role call: Monica, Sulie, Chris, Becky, Torsten, Me!, Adam.
I found out I lost my credit card at the Rock Dump, AND I got a call that I lost my credit card at A&P, (I have two alaska airlines credit cards.. I'm doing the whole, let's have 2 credit cards that way I get bonus miles TWICE!... and losing both of them, that way I can have one lost all the time and still manage to earn miles) I can be pretty scattered brains sometimes (I lost my cell phone but found it, and I lost Travis's Chaulk, and Torsten found it at the Rock Dump)
Friday, went over to the Hanger with Sarah, Jay, Nick and Jake. The state let people off early!
Saturday, Went snowboarding w/ Torsten all day, then Torsten wanted to go look at Petroglyphs, so we spent 2 hours trudging throught he snow in the dark looking for them. And we found two petroglyphs! Wow! 9:10 PM - 2 Comments - 2 Kudos - Add Comment - Edit - Remove |
