need some new/good music BAD

I got this free ipod, and I need to know some good workout music etc so I can put on it.

I haven't listened to music in about 4-5 years and I guess I need to catch up... badly.

You post it, I'll put it on my ipod and we'll see if it's any good.

I would go to billboard.com and check out the singles charts, that'll give you an idea of what's current and "hot"... Since we all know you want to be hot!

Maybe you'll find an artist/genre you like and can go from there?

Amanda

What kind of music do you like? Lame music (country) or cool music (anything else)?

Varden

I hear this "hip of the hop" stuff is pretty "rad"; apparently it has some "phat beats" or some such thing. So try "bumping" some tunes and see if you can "groove on it".

Myron - if anybody knows me well they know that I have to suggest the Dave Matthews Band. They are certainly groove worthy, but not necessarily work out music types.

So, now that I've gotten my DMB plug finished I wanted to ask what types of music did you listen to 4-5 years ago? Who were your favorite bands "back in the day?"

When I work out I have two kinds of music in mind. On the days that I'm really hitting it hard I listen to harder bands like Hinder, but when I'm just working out 'cuz I'm making myself I listen to stuff that has more of a beat like most of the pop stuff on the radio these days. It all depends on your taste.

So, I'm dying to know what you were into 4-5 years ago. What bands "did it for you" Myron? ;)

Papa Roach
Eminem
The Terrible Secret of Space
The Hamster Dance

other ones too... probably right after I post this I'll remember other ones!!!!

♥Britney♥ BringinHOWDYback!

My Friend Andrew And I Have Specific Files In Our IPODS And C.Ds Specifically For Working Out Purposes... Techno (although rather annoying when listening to it alone has awesome beats for running and working out to...) You'll Never Find Yourself Loosing Momento With That Stuff. Andrew's The Workout King And Burnt Me A C.D. With Bands Like The Venga Boys... OZONE (Romanian Band... I like Them A Lot) Ummm... This Hip-hop Things Does Have Some Good Work Out Beats Sometimes... But I'm Not Knowing If It's Your Thing Or Not... You'll Have To Investigate. But I Honestly Gotta Say Techno And Dance Music Is The Most Upbeat That'll Keep Ya Movin! Good Luck!

cologne

I saw these commercials where if you wear cologne everyone comes really really attracted to you.

Well... I've never worn cologne in my entire life (I have NO sense of smell), so I went and read the instructions (1 spray), sometimes 2, at the neck and maybe the hand.

Anyway evidently this "cologne" stuff, everyone wears it (except for me), but now I have it too!

So... if I use it everyday I should have a 6-month supply of this stuff. I can't BELIEVE I fell for advertising... but hey! It'll be an interesting experiment.

Amanda

Well, first of all not everyone wears cologne. (And plenty of those men still have attractive women flinging themselves at them.) Second, if you do wear cologne, pay attention to whether people sneeze a lot when they're around you. Frequent sneezing attacks might mean you're wearing too much of it.

Best of luck with your cologne experiment, though!

Myron

Ok! Well I'm wearing it today;

So far nobody has noticed or sneezed. I'm thinking it's a marketing gimmick! But as part of my new super adventerous lifestyle I'm going to try it out :P.

Wearing cologne can ruin your chances of successfully sneaking around unnoticed, since now you'll leave a scent wherever you go. No more being a ninja for you!

Myron

I asked genji if he could smell it, and he couldn't...

Soo...

whats the point of this stuff if nobody can smell it?

Maybe the purpose of it is to just make some shareholders rich....

Amanda

That's very probable. You know the best way to attract women is to be yourself? It's not like you necessarily want to attract the kind of woman who'll fall for some artificial/natural scent anyway. Then she might be seduced away by someone who buys the newer version of that product.

If you attract a woman because she really likes YOU, then you don't have to worry about new cologne infiltrating the market.

Best of luck. . .

Myron

Thanks... but that wasn't the goal... actually I don't know what it is... I just wanted to try it.

I was raised in a family that was pretty... I guess restricted and stuff like cologne/makeup/jewelry and things I always thought were prohibited. (deodorant was allowed!)

I'm just trying new things out..

I'm being a REBEL!!!

Rebel Myron! YEAH! I like that!

♥Britney♥ BringinHOWDYback!

Pretty Sure That Tag/Axe Stuff Doesn't Really Attract The Women Like That Sorry... But It Does Smell Great! Unfortunately You Would Need The Girl To Be Closer Than Oh Lets Say 10 Feet To Smell It? In Which Case, Unless She's A Good Friend She Would Be Throwing Herself At you... And I Sure Hope You Wouldn't Want That... Gimmick Yes. Yes Indeed. But, It's Not A Bad Way To Go...

A good day

A good day

I went over to ANDVSA today for a computer problem around lunch... and it was a surprise party!

Everyone had pizza/ peach cobbler/ etc, + a card for thanking me for all of the help in volunteering!

It really made me feel good about myself. Thanks! (although no one there reads this...)

Myron, you should feel good to about yourself EVERY DAY. Because you're a good person and you're cool and you're fun to hang out with. Happy Myron Day!

(But the party sounds cool too! It's nice when other people celebrate Myron Day too, eh?)

A very strange occurrence (did I cheat death?)

Sunday, October 01, 2006

A very strange occurrence (did I cheat death?)

I used to work at a place with a fellow by the name of Dewayne. Anyway he claimed his wife as psychic, and how she would get very strong feelings about stuff, disasters and things like that. Anyway several months later it was about 4:00pm, and I got a call from Dewayne evidently his wife had been bothering him that she felt something horrible and terrible was going to happen to me that night.

I usually work till about 7pm (this was when I was working at VN), anyway he told me that I should go home.

Well, it was about 5:00pm and I was the last one in the building... so I decided to go home early. So I headed out.

I found out the next day that a hooker was picked up in North Reno, and had gasoline poured all over her and was dumped in the dumpster outside and set on fire about 7-8pm that night.

It was quite the talk the next day in the office. Sometimes I wonder what would have happened as I would be surprised if I could have heard the girl screaming in the dumpster outside of the office, and if I would have walked outside when it happened what would have happened to me?

That's pretty interesting - makes you think twice about discounting psychic phenomena. However, it could just be coincedence. You never know.

Myron

Well, she only made one prediction w/ me, after I knew her for quite a while... and she did it before it happened.

And he was very insistent that I get out of there... evidently she had this extremely bad feeling from the night before and that night as well. Until she had to act on it.

In this particular case I guess she was right.

Amanda

That's possible. I've had really bad feelings before and it turned out that I had a really bad day. (In retrospect, I think that my extreme grouchiness probably CAUSED my bad day, not predicted it, though.)
