Getting married? according to the Juneau Empire I guess so!

I guess I am, at least according to Juneau Empire last friday! Thanks for the congratulations of everyone who noticed!
That was pretty wierd to see my name listed, as my name is fairly unique! It is amazing how many people here (and not on myspace) read juneau empire and noticed my name.. WOW!
I am a very different individual but I doubt even I could skip the whole "let date first and be girlfriend-boyfriend" and just jump right to the marriage part! But congratulations to the OTHER Myron Davis in Juneau!!!

So what happened to me this last week, but big thing is I went to Leighanne and Dustin's marriage ceremony in Reno. I haven't been to Reno in such a very very long time and it was very good to see a lot of my friends.

So here is the rundown of the wedding:

My blue shirt was a bit damaged, so I ended up borrowing kyles, so I wore my blue cashmere sport coat, w/ my blue tie, and the blue shirt, black pants and black wool coat. Also I got my hair done at infiniti salon's. It now again feels light and fluffy!
Kyle drove me down to the Reno automobile museum where I sat and looked at all of these people who I had NO idea who they were. There was two buses to go up to the Saint Mary's in the Mountains Catholic Church.

I waited for a while as the bus filled up, hoping to see someone I would know.

Nobody :(.

Eventually I took a deep breath and walked over to the bus the was closest hoping it was going to the same destination I had in mind.
It appeared that the two buses naturally split into a "younger" bus and a "older" bus.

I got on the "older" bus. However there was a few young people, but they left to go to the younger bus... and I was alone. Everyone seemed to know other people but me. While I knew Leighanne very well I didn't know any of the family and only a few of her friends.

So I looked out the windows as we drove up the Sierra Mountains.

We arrived; I looked out of the window anxiously looking for maybe; just maybe someone who I knew. I recognized Dustan (the groom), but he appeared to know all kinds of these people so I kept to myself and eventually entered the church.

I found a seat by myself on a row, and saw and waited. 10 minutes after I sat down, a girl sat down behind me alone. I took a chance after it appeared that no one seemed to know her and I introduced myself. It turns out just like me she knew no one at all and was here alone. Then some other people wanted to sit next to me, and I quickly thought on my feet and said hold on and I moved to the row behind me next to her. I think she was relieved that she wasn't alone. I had a conversation with her and found out her name was Katie. She worked with Leighanne at the Disney store with her a couple of years back and didn't know any one else in her family, but was good friends with Leighanne.

The wedding was very formal and very nice. I have never been to a Catholic wedding before and it was a good experience. After the wedding and talking with Katie, she asked if I wanted to get a ride from her down to the reception which is jumped on. I so did NOT want to ride back alone on the bus. (I am a bit shy at meeting new people as people here know!).

On the ride back we sang kareoke in the car on the way back, found out that Katie's boyfriend was supposed to make it but he had stuff come up. We got back to the reno automobile museum and I was assigned Table 13, which no one was at, but Katie asked if I wanted to sit over at her table so I did for a while until...

Kevin came!

Yep, I was glad to see him, and I moved back to there.

>>> Fastforward >>>

I had some really good conversations, and because of the way the tables managed to be in Katie was sitting right behind me as well and seemed to be doing pretty well, but she was constantly looking at the entrance hoping her boyfriend was going to make it (I know because I was right between her and the door). There was soo many people and I was a little uncomfortable in such a little crowd but it was okay because I was with friends. Then Kevin and his wife went to dance for just a little bit. Which was fine because I just moved over sat in the spot I was invited to sit earlier, I was mulling in my mind... would it be proper for me to ask a girl who had a boyfriend to dance as she was talking and mentioning that she did like to dance?

I wasn't sure if it was proper for me to do that. So I was just about to open my mouth, then this other guy comes and asks her to dance (he was her friends husband) and she says yes. Now I'm alone at the table, and suddenly I feel like a third wheel and I realize why I don't like places like this. But no worries Myron is cool and strong but I am not going to be sitting there bymyself alone looking like a deer in headlights. So I call kyle and asked him for an emergency pickup. The whole dancing thing brought back bad memories of the only other time I went to a dance when I was a Junior in High School. I had some good times but the night was over for Myron.

So that was my wedding experience.

(Leighanne however was very glad to see me, as I expected; and the trip was worth it for her, as she really wanted me to come!).

On Sunday went to Church and saw my relatives (not blood relatives but through marriage), Saw Stephanie, Amanda, Gary and Kim and lunch with them. Wow the kids sure have grown up!

I didn't get to see everybody but I had a good time seeing all kinds of people but I was so busy with stuff I just didn't have time to do everything. I wanted to see Jon while I was there but it just didn't work out.

On the way back on the plane it was fogged in, so I ended up travelling from 6:00am (alaska time) when my plane left till 7:00pm when I arrived in Juneau. What a flight, didn't eat anything all day! (except airplane snacks).

I sat in the seat so long that my leg is really killing me now.

List of some of the people I saw:
Renee
Kyle
Jennifer
Marcos
Dave
friends at church
relatives
Tennyson
Tennyson's new girl friend Caitlin (sp?)
Kevin
Britney (kevin's wife I've never met)

however the entire last few days is pretty much ONE BIG BLUR!!!!!

But I am glad for every single person I saw, and don't feel bad if I didn't write about you, or didn't see you as I know I wanted to do; except I only had so much time! And I'm getting tired of typing adding all of my experiences which were so many!

Amanda

Sounds like you had fun even if there were a lot of strangers!

I wouldn't know the rule on asking a girl with a boyfriend to dance either. . . but, you could've asked and if it was inappropriate then she would have said "no"! :)

Wow... A Catholic wedding in the Biggest Little City, mountains, awkward moments, emergency pickups... That's quite the trip, Myron!

Sounds like you had fun though, eh? Even if it was a little weird at times?

new phone number, and a welcome to new/(old) friends!

new phone number, and a welcome to new/(old) friends!

I got my new windows mobile today, the new number is: 907-321-1988

(I posted this as friends only so just in case spambots are about they won't grab my phone number and I won't get marketing calls)..

My blackberry also works it's at 907-723-3432. At some point in the future one of them is going to go away, so I don't know which number is going to be my primary number. So at the current moment in time, BOTH of them are going to work.

I was hurt last week, with my lower back hurting all week from snowboarding, however on saturday I went up to snowboard yet again... I didn't do very well, I guess when it hurts to move your left leg (and thats your primary) it makes snowboarding harder... which is good; because I like a challenge!

Went to Eve's birthday party on saturday, she wanted a bon fire so I brought duraflame logs!!! (is that original), then went on to burn them up!

I am sure everyone who reads my blog would like to know who these wonderful people who have shown up on my friends list are, So here they are! (I will do a longer introduction this time!)
Summer Dorr; a really nice girl from the gym I used to go too... although she has tons of friends on her friends list and probably will never see the greetings. But welcome to be on 'Myron's Friends list'. My feeling tells me I will never see or hear from her ever again since we now go to different gyms, but nevertheless welcome!
Renee' Benson; I know her through my old best friend Steve, we used to hangout all of the time when I was younger. She's been to Juneau as well!
Savannah Stevens; I've failed you Savannah, it seems that I have all of these people about and it is hard to make time for everyone... I haven't done anything w/ you in such a long time. We have to change that!!

Actually I seem to let everyone down, but I'll try and change that up! So here's next months resolution:

Next month lets do something... in February... everyone who reads my blog.

I'm going rock climbing tonight... yeah I'll probably kill myself... but that's me!

I'm going to be out of town this thurday through next tuesday; I have more to add, but I need to post this soon.

Thank you!

I managed to scrape my hand up, did one run of pole cat, and now I am really sore.

Myron - I miss you! I'm sure you aren't really letting any of your friends down because everyone knows how genuine you are and how busy you have been.

So, does that invitation to do something with you this coming month extend to me all the way up in Anchorage!? :) I'm just giving you a hard time - I wish we had spent more time together before I left. Well, next time I'm home we'll have to get together.

very very sore! (and I did something evil so friends only)

very very sore! (and I did something evil so friends only)

well, how has my week gone?

last thursday I did 6 miles at the gym which was fun! But on friday it was snowing so bad Genji took me home, and I just didn't feel like trudging through the snow to go to the gym :(. Andrea and Brenda called to see if I wanted a ride up Saturday morning to go snowboarding with them, but I was already going with Torsten.

Saturday was pretty fun, I had a great time with Torsten, he and I took turns going off of jumps, but I really messed up. I was heading toward this tabletop and 1-2 seconds before I went off of it, I decided I was going to fast and I wanted to abort.

Well evidently with physics the desire for something to happen doesn't always stretch out to reality.... my desire to stop didn't make me stop. Or maybe it was a delayed reaction, but whatever the case was the way I stopped was not the desire method. I flew off of the tabletop and ended up landing on my left lower back... hard. and I stopped right away.

OUCH!

I went to Aaron's lan party and played computer games later that night but I was SO sore I could hardly walk.

Sunday I didn't do anything at all, just stayed home in pain... all day.

Monday was a holiday and I was supposed to volunteer and run network cable but I didn't feel like going because I was still hurting but I got over there (after Brenda came and picked me up!). It was a very profitible today. Monica called to see if I was going rock climbing; I am so good at going but I just did not feel up to it.

Tuesday:
I was evil.... yep; I never am this bad, but because I didn't do anything at all I went home and got on the computer. I decided to join a hosted game on the internet of dota... all non-noobs know that the best strategy is for top 2 shared, bottom solo. The host disagreed and drop-hacked me. And I got banned for leaving by the other players.

I never leave games....

Well, I have nuclear weapons... nasty terrible nuclear weapons with my uber computer skills. and I let it happen. 5 minutes later he was off the internet... I've never done that to anyone before but I have the power. He just really really irritated me because he was so arrogant in that he was all powerful and I had to do exactly what he said and if I didn't he would waste me.

This is the first time I've ever done such a evil thing; but he was so so so mean, and so arrogant in that I couldn't do anything!! Poor guy didn't even have a firewall and had the messenger service running :(. In my defense he through the first stone, violating terms of service and drop-hacking me. But I have much MUCH nastier tools than he does.

So, please forgive me my blog readers, I won't do it again; I have tried very hard to use my powers for good, and I used them for evil today.

Lee came and got me for lunch at the Hospital today it was nice, I am still very very sore though. Ibprofin has helped some and I am getting better.... I really want to get back to working out it's been 4 days since the last physical activity I've done other than hobble around in pain!

I'm sure that hobbling is considered an Olympus sport! Right along with "climbing stairs with crutches"! Worry not, you are exercising already!!

We'll forgive you for being evil. . . as long as you didn't enjoy it. ;-)

Hmm....off to get some more coffee. (I find it scary that I drink coffee!)

Varden

Never played too much DotA (ladder all the way!!), but it sounds like the guy had it coming. So I wouldn't say you used your powers for evil, not at all. I don't suppose you take on apprentices, do you? ;-)

Jason

Soon, your uber computer skills will allow you to...

<<>>

RULE THE WORLD!

No, really, not that evil. Had you sent a letter bomb to his house or ran over his dog, that's evil. Exploiting a known vulnerability on his machine is more of a courtesy, much like saying, "Pardon me, but did you know you haven't caught up on your security updates?"

See? You're just a nice guy!

NO permanent damage was done... all I did was knock him off the internet; I'm not that evil.
