What am I doing up so late? And new friends!

I'm up so late because I foolishy managed to get the movie "The Departed", and it ended up being 2 1/2 hours long!!

I was going to go rock climbing today (Monica called me too), but I ended up leaving work too late and when I got home I didn't have access to the truck and I didn't feel like walking halfway across town to get there in the cold?

What is wrong with me?

I need to shape up and turn myself around... and quickly before I turn into a big lazy slob...

I'm actually enjoying learning the Fox Trot! Thankfully SuperDebbie hasn't traded me in on all of the other guys at the Fox Trot lessons place.

My highlight of this last week was ice skating with Andrea; I had a REALLY good time!

Since my last go around of new friends on my myspace list please allow me to introduce to you!

Here are all of the friends who have found me on myspace!!

Taralee Ellis: Yep she is on my friends list now! Tara knows me pretty well (knows a lot of the mistakes I've done etc), and even then she still is my friend! She lives in Oregon but nevertheless I count her as one of my best friends I have had. Welcome to my friends list Tara!
Rachel Turner: Rachel is Sheila daughter from work! Currently she's in Paraguay doing a school exchange.
Ruthie Benson: This is Renee's sister!!! She is generally a happy upbeat person who I am lucky enough to also have listed on my myspace friends list!
Heidi Manlove: I had several classes with Heidi in high school, a VERY cheerful cool person with lots of energy who always thought I was really cool... even though I was a complete nerd! Somehow she found me on myspace! Welcome to my myspace friend list!
Chasina McGee: WOW Hi Chasina!! Chasina was my childhood friend. (she looks a LOT different than she was in 5th grade), we used to live next to each other when I was in elementary school! Thanks Chasina for getting me my homework for me when I had the chicken pox by the way! It's interesting because Chasina was one of those really popular kids who I thought never really knew who I was but she remembered me well from school... how is that for awesome! Chasina is one of the few people from elementary school that I remember really well.
Serafine Bourne: Sera is my friend I met at work and we really hit it off. I'm lucky to have her on my friends list.
Debbie Maas: I know SuperDebbie through Torsten and Travis and from the Rockclimbing gym, Debbie got me to learn how to do the FoxTrot, although I still have a lot to learn.

Guess that's all for now!

Hey, which one is Debbie? I want to add her!

I'm having a lot of fun with Fox Trot too, of course, I have that extra incentive that I was telling you about. . . my goal for each class. ;-)

I have been having a good time (as always!)

I am so surprised; I am actually enjoying Dancing... yesterday when I went I was with Debbie, but Amanda and I also tried it out too... mainly it involved me forgetting what I was supposed to do and Amanda anticipating what I was supposed to do, but how can you anticipate something when you yourself don't even know what you're doing!!!

Overall the lesson is a hour and half long and it goes really fast.

As far as a video... that would be pretty scary, and I don't think I could film myself. I'm not sure it should even be done!

But I'm getting better!!

In Phoenix, good times, bad times

Thursday, March 15, 2007

In Phoenix, good times, bad times

Earlier today it sucked... read on and find why I came to be in that place.

Friday
On Friday night I got into Phoenix and we drove east to Tucson and stayed at a super 8 motel.

Saturday
On Saturday Morning got up and I had two choices, go to the air and space museum, or the desert animal area. I had a good time, there was one snake called a Hognose snake that have two ribs that form this hood to make it look like a cobra. It then strikes (with no venom), if that defense doesn't work it turns over and plays dead right before doing that spitting blood and pretending to be dead (even if picked up!). Also while I was there, there was a cute girl who appeared to like me too! (She worked there and she smiled at me a lot). Of course she could have been laughing at how white my skin is!

Later we went to Karchtner Caverans, which was really amazing seeing all of the underground stuff. The caveran was protected by a series of airlocks... very neat!

Later that night we got back to the house and went to bed. It was a REALLY good day, and I had a very good time! I met a bunch of people too, Steve, Jeff and a few other people.

Sunday
Went to Church on Sunday Morning; after that went to Sizzlers for all you can eat. Got to know several people better; the highlight was this really nice girl named Neletha Bauer, she was 19, 114 pounds(felt this was important to mention as it comes into play later...), blond, thin, w/ lots of energy, and was very friendly. After sizzler she asked me if I wanted to go w/ her to Borders; (she had this cool manual sports car). I found a little bit more about her and I had a good time with her and she was a lot of fun. (she also liked to run too, and had spring break off too!). Although she was still going to be working, being that I didn't know anybody I thought it was neat that I met someone who was off that week.

Then we went to afternoon church and she sat next to me. After I had plans w/ my parents and we went over to my Uncle Norman and Mary's house and brought Talon and Nolan w/ us. We picked up some pizza on the way and talked a lot about dota. Also I made plans with Nolan to spend the afternoon with him the next day. I worked on his computer for a while as he had some hardware problems, (I think he needs a new video card)

Monday
Went running (I LOVE running in the desert in the morning it's just great!). I knew Neletha ran and I would have liked to do some stuff without just me. So I asked around and I got Neletha's phone number. I then called her (she was working that day from 7am - 7pm as a nurse) but I knew she was free at least 3 days this week. So I left a message giving her my phone number and wanted to see if she wanted to go running and maybe other things if she didn't already have plans. I then left to go on a walk/hike w/ my parents. I gave my cell phone to my Mom. Unfortunately I didn't lock the phone... my phone made about 14 phone calls by itself totalling 24 minutes of phone time calling by itself :(.

Overall... not a very good start eh?

Anyway this and that goes on, I picked up Nolan from school and we did secret "guy things" until late that night.. it was a lot of fun!

Tuesday
Nope, still no phone call from Neletha, but now I _KNEW_ she had to have gotten my message, kind of sucked. Went running again... it's great down here!

Did a bunch of other stuff saw Jeff and Steve, went shopping, hung out with my cousins Quentin and Raleign. The sun is GREAT! (Had dinner w/ them at Denny's).

(The trampoline KILLED my back!)

Wednesday
I got some new shirts, and AWESOME black dress shirt w/ this totally cool red tie, also I got a replacement blue shirt, and a purple shirt w/ a nice tie to match! I did various stuff as well that day.

No call froM Neletha, also I found out that Neletha doesn't making to Bible study or on Sunday (hardly ever), and certainly not on wednesday ever as her work schedule doesn't work out.

Well Neletha works about an hour away so there was no possibilities of her making it to Bible study.

After Bible Study I had plans to go out with Jeff and Steve w/ my Parentals units and Neletha's parents for a late dinner at this Mexican place.

Neletha made it to Bible Study, got in 15 minutes before it ended. Evidently she drove 100+ miles an hour all the way from Tempe to make it there, and she skipped out of work early. Guess what: I was pretty pleased, and I (foolishly) had it in my head that maybe it was because of me, and maybe she worked really hard early this week.

She ignored me, and she focused all of her intention on Steve (who she is friends with but... she totally attached herself). Evidently I found out this was totally bizarre behavior because the way she was acting she NEVER acted like this at all ever. She then asked if Steve wanted to go with her to the restraunt, so I went to my parents car to get a ride and Neletha's parents said I should go with Neletha.

Yep she ignored me; no mention at all of me calling her or being available to do anything at all. She drove and wanted to get a movie to watch at block buster, anyway I asked if she had seen Mel Gibson's Payback and she hadn't, so she picked it up right away after I told her it was a good movie. Then we made it to the restraunt.

This is where I really messed up; she wanted me to guess her weight, so I guessed 105, and I was wrong. Then I decided to do 100, then 90. So I said 100 and then while I was saying 100 I decided to say 90 instead.

It came out 190.

Then Steve said, oh you really messed up there!

Subject was changed... I didn't know what to do as that was certainly not what I meant.

She then said that she had tommorrow off and didn't have to work, and she then asked Steve if he wanted to come over and go running w/ her in the morning and do stuff. Obviously Steve couldn't as he worked AND he didn't run AND she knew that; and he said as much.

Then she asked Jeff if he wanted to go running, which of course he couldn't because he has a injury where he can't run, and he works in the morning, and would never make the drive.

No she didn't look at me at all, completely ignoring that I asked her earlier that week if she wanted to go running.

(I usually run 6 miles in about an hour, although in Arizona I've been doing about 4 miles a day.. not a lot but I COULD have done more... I'm just taking it easy).

After that until we went and even after we went she completely hung all over Steve. And I guess she usually fights with him etc... her behavior was completely abnormal.

She did this all on purpose to hurt me I think.

I felt TERRIBLE.

I thought she was a nice person that it would be fun to do things with as I know NOBODY DOWN HERE. And the few friends I have made all work during the day and have jobs; and I would like to do something else besides stuff w/ my parents all of the time.

At least Jeff and Steve and my relatives like to do things with me... I just don't get it?

I deleted her from my cell phone.

Thursday:
Went about 4 miles running... I didn't get the Zen from running as I was still hurt from yesterday.

Later that day I went and I am now restructing all of my finances. Yep, I am going on an acquisition phaze. While living in Alaska my investments have been consolidating... in about 6 months I am going to be doing a real estate expansion (maybe less time)... it is SOO exciting! I'm going to be leveraging myself pretty big.

I'm heading back to Alaska this Saturday so I am going to enjoy the sun a lot more... the weather has been FANTASTIC and I plan on enjoying it for the next couple of days that I have!

First off, Neletha sounds like she's probably cool and cute, but a little immature. You didn't do anything wrong, she's just acting like a flaky, self-absorbed teenager. She'll eventually grow out of it and truly be cool, but until then you can either put up with it or you can delete her from your cell phone. I am really sorry she was that way to you, though!

Plus guessing someone tiny like her weighs 190 lbs is OBVIOUSLY a mistake. Don't feel bad about that! The smart woman never asks questions like, "How much do you think I weigh?" and "Does this make me look fat?", because there is no right answer to those questions. :)

Myron

Thanks, but if you read the blog, I did delete her...

I'm not going to put up with that stuff... I don't need people to play games with me. As far as immature; probably!

Man.. now I really need to get out of the house (I'm using my Mom's laptop brought it over to my relatives house and I'm leaching the wireless connection there)

I would have deleted her too, that's why I said it. :)

You should bring someone with you the next time you go on a vacation! That way you'll have a permanent travel buddy. You could hold a contest or something and award a free companion pair ticket to the winner. Then you'd both be winners!

I talked to my cousin Denise, and she is up for it... but she is still injured :(.

She's been having a lot of medical problems + bills etc and can't travel yet....

And in the future: I'd like to travel with someone else (i.e. not always with my parents!)... I love my parents but, I don't think I want to spend the rest of my life traveling with them!

That is a good idea though, but if I offered a companion ticket to someone how many offers would I get? Most people I know are involved with someone else etc or they don't live in Juneau.

I'll have to think about it....

Amanda

You'd have to start screening applicants now! And you could always choose to travel with a couple of people (attached or not) and then you're almost always gauranteed someone cool to hang out with. :)

Hey, Sounds like you made a friend and she enjoyed a little attention, and then maybe at her age was a little afraid being that she was a little young. Maturity grows with time... sounds like she is unsure of herself and how and this is shown through her behavior~ ?? Some things take time, but it too bad she was unsure of herself enough to be comfurtable with your sweet gesture. You are definently mature and older and she may have gotten nervouse and afraid of her own feelings about u. Then to show u such behavior. Its tough to be young. But It hurts to be ignored!!

The sun is wonderful so Soak it UP! :)

I think I figured it out, (later anyway), Her parents really like me, and she is currently butting heads with her parents.

Easy way to get on top, shoot down someone her parents like.

So I'm not taking it personally, after all who could not like me? I'm ME! And even I like ME! :). YEAH!!!

Her loss, she would have had a fun time instead she ended up spending the day by herself or something... oh well! I still had fun anyway!

But now I'm back where it snows :(...

(I got a TAN too by the way!)

learning the fox trot and ... leaving for phoenix tommorrow!

Super Debbie called me as she really need a partner for 'The Fox Trot', JRC is having some learning class and she really needs a partner.

So... I guess I'm learning foxtrot tonight (7-8:30), cost is $10 for one class or $40 for the whole 8 week session.

I don't know if I'm going to do the whole 8 week thing, but I can bail Debbie out for this time, and I'll decide if I want to do it in the future.
Anyone else want to try doing this FoxTrot thing, first day of classes start today at JRC for $10 drop in rate

Also going down to phoenix tommorrow; for about 10 days or so.

Here is a recipe for the best weather in the world:

Take a normal street.
Reduce temperature
snow on normal street
freeze snow
quickly pour freezing rain on snow
freeze rain
pour water on frozen ice on street
now it's nice and cold, frozen slick on the bottom with a thin water cover on top!

you're done! Isn't that a GREAT ending, perfect weather!

Now leave quickly for phoenix and leave it behind for everyone else... pure bliss! :)

Eep, two blog entries, same subject.. ugh!

Here is the other one that I'm deleting.

leaving town and foxtrot lessons?

Super Debbie called today, she has FoxTrot lessons at JRC for the next 8 weeks, and she needs a dance partner.

I'm a sucker for a girl in need... It starts tonight at 7:00pm.

anybody else want to come?

Tonight is the first night for the 'noob's to start!

In order to do this you need a partner.

Oh I'm heading out of town friday to go to phoenix for about 10 days w/ my Mom. We are going to go and look at the caverans and other stuff it should be fun!

The best weather:

snow really hard get a bunch of snow+ice on the road, warm up for just a bit and rain on top of it, then freeze ... hard!

now that there is a nice frozen layer on top of the road, now warm up just above 32 so you get the 'freezing rain', and just layer it on top of the ice. End of recipe: pure bliss!

Weird dream and am I partially insane?

Monday, March 05, 2007

Weird dream and am I partially insane?

I had a really good weekend; But it started off a little weird.

On Saturday;

I was dreaming, somehow in the middle of my dream I was being drove from California to Connecticut on the back of a flat-bed truck in summer with a bunch of wool blankets on top of me.

It seemed really strange to me too!

So the driver (who I have NO idea who it was) stopped at this shopping center somewhere in Texas, in the middle of summer, and Annie (Annie Gastelum), (I put the name because I'm pretty sure Krista knows who she is!), walks by the flat bed truck. She didn't seem to think it was wierd that I was laying in the back of the flat bed truck with wool blankets over me, so I say, 'Hi Annie', and she replies saying Hey Myron, then she asks where am I going? And I say to connecticut.

Then someone else in my esteemed party that is attempting to travel across the United States in a flat-bed truck caughts her eye and she starts talking to that person.

Then I wake up. I glanced at the glowing clock on the ceiling and I did a quick mental subtracting 2 hours from the glowing time figuring out it was exactly 4:00am. My arm was a piece of dead meat. Yep no circulation at all.

When I woke up 2 hours later 7:00am now, I ran downstairs hopped onto myspace and searched for Annie Gastelum. Where I found her, and I sent her a transcript of my dream.

It wasn't until later I looked at the sent message in horror. I'm a RAVING LUNATIC!

That's right... if there was ever any doubt in her mind that I possibly was; I've completely convinced her of that till the end of time.

Basically I found her, clicked send message and just typing without doing anything proper, and clicked send... And the words came out incoherent and like a raving madman.

(and NO, I never got a response back), I checked back later and it said she logged into the account so I know she got it. But hey, I'm not sure if _I_ would have responded to that bunch of incoherent mumblejumble that I managed to send right waking up.

Note to self: Don't send really strange dreams to people you haven't thought about or see in 10 years!

Later in the day when I was sufficiently awake:

Snowboarding by the way was GREAT! The snow was FABULOUS and DEEP!!!!

My last run I did snowboarding I got caught in this gully between some trees with my face planted in the snow and I travelled a good 5-15 feet pretending to be a vacuum cleaner and stuff all of the snow down my face and into my jacket. Freezing!

After that I went with Andrea to Amanda's Tea Party then Ice Skating. I had a GREAT time!!!!

(I hope Andrea enjoyed it too, I think so!) (I met andrea at a place where I volunteer, and she hasn't lived in Juneau for very long, came from Washington D.C.).

Got a couple of network drops done and some cables made on Sunday for Big Brothers Big Sisters.

Also Work in cancelled in Juneau today, but I still went! (cancelled because of snow).

I'd be pretty amazed if you got this far! I did a lot of typing in this blog entry!

I had a WEIRD dream on Saturday night too! I was visiting my friend Kate and her house was really weird and creepy (which is totally is NOT in real life) and my stuff (keys, purse) kept "disappearing" and I couldn't find them. And doors kept opening and shutting when nobody was around. And then I went outside to leave because the house was creeping me out and my car was missing! But there were a dozen cars in the driveway and none were mine! So I was going to have to walk in the dark in a creepy neighborhood!! (Which looked a lot like the street I grew up on. . .but super creepy!)

Anyway, I watched Eraserhead last night which is a TOTALLY CREEPY MOVIE! It reminded me of my bad dream!! And then I had another CREEPY dream last night!! Ugh. :(

The Tea Party was super cool!! I also loved the skating!! Thanks for coming. And Andrea was very cool too!! :)

Wow! I haven't thought about Annie in a long time either. That's funny. Ha ha. I'm jealous you get to go snowboarding. I really want to go, but imagine that.... No snow in Hawaii! I have to come visit sometime and you have to take me to the sweet spots. :0)

She's on myspace too! As long as you don't send her a myspace message about some dream she was in....

Actually that might be kind of funny really! Send her an email about how you were in some dream of yours or something... (I don't remember how well she would take a joke!). I think she had a sense of humor though!

But yeah she might actually respond to you; at this point I have managed to convince her I'm insane! Oh well!

The snow here is probably the best in the nation.. 204" of snow!

Isn't that awesome!

And we're constantly getting new fresh snow all of the time!
