I decided to do something different. I've gone on trips w/ my parents, alone w/ my sister. But I'm going to do something new. I am going to go on a trip somewhere on the planet with someone new with the costs covered. Maybe you?
The following will be covered; food, transportation, lodging, activities. Anything else besides that isn't. But I figure that should be enough.
With some help from some friends I have come up with some questions to hopefully get the ultimate travel partner. Also this offer is not limited to the people I have emailed this too, so if you know someone else who would enjoy something like this let them know and give me their answers and I'll consider them too. I know a lot of people on this list would never go, but maybe they know someone else who would be interested and like to take this opportunity. If I forgot anybody on this list... sorry it was an oversight.
Full answers are not required for everything but the more complete the answers the more information I'll have in making a decision. (IF of course I get any responses!)
So here are the questions that were developed:
1. Where would you like to go (examples: Africa, Europe, East-coast, Asia,
Australia, you can choose more than one place or none)
2. Do you have specific requirements for lodging. 5 stars? nice places? youth hostels? or...
3. Do you like subways and mass-transit?
4. Would you like to try me as a travel companion (rank 1 to 10), 1 not at
all, 10 very much.
5. If you win this free trip, what are the chances you would accept it w/ the
strings attached that we would be traveling somewhere with me? (1 not at all,
or 10 absolutely)
6. Would you like me to keep in confidence that you replied to this message?
7. Are there any special travel considerations ( e.g. are you allergic to the sun?
do you require a regular dialysis treatments?, suffer from motions sickness or...)
8. What kind of stuff do you enjoy? art museums, extreme sports?, surfing,
hiking, looking for good deals? jumping out of airplanes? travelling to the moon? seeing the sights?
9. Do you prefer a very active vacation, or a little bit of everything or a relaxing vacation?
10. Do you converse with foreign tongues?
11. How much travel experience have you had? List your last few trips and your favorite parts about each.
12. How well do you handle culture shock?
13. Do you like trying new foods/activites?
14. Can you live without cell/net access while traveling?
15. How many continents have you been on?
16. What is the most interesting place you have been?
17. Anything else you think I should know?
